During your first visit to My Thai Therapy, our therapists will discuss your desired areas of focus and any medical conditions that need to be addressed. They will also guide you through the preparation process. We offer a range of massage techniques to cater to your individual needs and preferences.
If you have any preferences or requests regarding pressure, focus areas, position, temperature, or music, let your therapist know. We want you to feel comfortable and relaxed during your massage.
Avoid scheduling a massage if you are sick, have a contagious skin condition, or are in the first trimester of pregnancy. If you have a serious medical condition, consult with your primary care physician before scheduling a massage.
Massages should not be painful. If you experience discomfort during your massage, it can increase muscle tension and make it harder to relax. If the pressure applied by your therapist is too intense, let them know and they will adjust their technique. Some massage techniques may result in mild soreness after the massage, similar to the feeling after a challenging workout. However, you should not experience pain during or after your massage.
Many clients often drift off into sleep during their massages, and our therapists never take offense if you doze off or happen to snore. You needn't feel self-conscious because our therapists are accustomed to it all, aiming solely for your relaxation and therapeutic benefit. Feel at ease, whether you're dealing with body acne, skin conditions, or simply forgot to shave; our priority is your comfort and rejuvenation.
The frequency of massages depends on your preferences, soreness, physical demands, emotional needs, and budget. Regular massages, either weekly or monthly, tend to provide the best results. If you're interested in treating yourself to a massage each month, consider our Therapy Membership.
To continue benefiting from your massage experience, consider hydrating, stretching, and taking care of your skin. Ask your therapist for specific recommendations.
